We Help Every Student Shine!
At St Joseph's, we believe it is important for students to pursue interests to find what they are passionate about. We give them exposure to a range of exciting opportunities to unlock their creative potential, develop a talent or follow a passion.
We Help Every Student Shine!
Creative and Performing Arts
We encourage our students to explore their passions and talents. We have a range of opportunities available for students to participate in creative and performing arts activities and programs such as music, drama and dance.
Through CAPTIVATE, our diocesan Creative and Performing Arts initiative, students in Years 3 and 4 have the opportunity to learn a string instrument. Weekly lessons are provided by a specialist strings teacher.

School Sport
Sport is a valued part of a school’s curriculum, contributing to the development of the whole child. It provides opportunities for social, physical, emotional and moral learning. Participation, enjoyment and skill development are the cornerstones of school sport. We have a specialist Physical Education teacher who teaches each class for one hour per week.
Students also have the opportunity to participate in a vast number of sporting experiences, including our Annual Sports Carnival, Swimming Carnival, Cross Country, local and regional sporting gala days and gymnastics. We also access a variety of sports through the NSW Sporting Schools’ Grant. These provide opportunities for students to experience a variety of sporting experiences. Representative pathways are also available through the Parramatta Diocese Catholic Primary School Sports Council.

Social Justice
Our students are offered a wide variety of local community activities to help develop a sense of pride, respect and responsibility for themselves and others. In recent times students have been actively involved in outreach projects supporting the Jesuit Refugee Service and Foodbank, Catholic Mission, Catholic Care and the local nursing homes. This positive participation and action allows our students to live out their faith in practical ways.

Excursions, Camps and Retreats
Every student loves to get out of the classroom and explore.
Our students benefit greatly from school trips where they are able to observe new things not available at school such as rare and exotic wildlife and plants, different cultures and the stories of our history. These experiences lead to deeper understanding of learning subjects.
Camps and retreats are also wonderful opportunities for students to develop independence, grow in faith, form strong friendships and make life-long memories!
A St Joseph’s education is a balanced one that encourages growth in all aspects of our students’ lives.
We aim to develop the uniqueness of each student through a range of engaging, fun and educational extracurricular activities. These activities include, but are not limited to:
